One thing that I had reinforced by Black Summer is that my lungs cannot cope with bushfire smoke. I had to visit Southern Cross station to sort out a Myki problem that was not possible to sort out online. So I encountered pollution on pollution with the trapped diesel fumes from country trains. Despite it being uncomfortable, I wore the N95 mask I now carry around all the time in my bag.
If you are one of the many Victorians with a lung condition like asthma, make sure you stay inside today or wear a mask if you are outside. Don't be like me years ago and learn the hard way through experiencing chest pain and asthma.
And someone should really help out workers at Southern Cross station and fix the trapped diesel fumes in there.
