Aurous Azhdarchid#Pterorhynchus wellnhoferi was originally thought to be a rhamphorinchid #pterosaur, but after the discovery of #Darwinopterus, it’s now a wukongopterid!
Its generic name translates to “wing snout”, and its specific name honors Peter Wellhofer, who’s done an immense amount of work on #pterosaurs!
