@outofprintarchive The most satisfying drifting mechanics I've ever played are on #RidgeRacer for the #PSP, you owe it to yourself to check it out.

I was playing more of Ys X last night, but the rekindled love for my PSP kept calling for my attention, so I went "FINE, I'll put Ys aside for now".

I completely forgot that the PSP got an Initial D game: Street Stage.
Decided to see how well it transitioned to the little machine and I ended up playing it till it was time to go to bed. 😅

This is Sega racing at it's best.
Just an incredible feeling of almost losing control over the vehicle and somehow still being able to just hold on.
Very few racing games get this right, or even attempt something like that.

I did pick up the PS3 game last year and really enjoyed the little bit I played as I had way too many games I wanted to play during my summer vacation.

Now I'm thinking that I really want to pick up an actual copy as well for the PSP. I enjoyed it that much.
Can't wait to play some more tonight.

And that makes me think about how I never played Square's Racing Lagoon on PSone... 👀

Spent last night playing some more Ys X, but then before going to sleep, I decided to play a little Burnout Legends on PSP.
I forgot just how great the system was for racing games besides WipEout and Ridge Racer.
Then I got to squeeze in another 15 minutes of Outrun 2006. Pure perfection.

Now I want to play Split/Second again.
I loved that game so much back in the day...

And to get more people nostalgic, here's a great little video:

All this recent talk about the #PSP gave me the push I needed to order a new battery for mine. It looks like there are plenty of options on eBay. I hope I picked a good one.

A year or two ago, my PSP had been tucked away in a drawer and unplayed for many years. When I pulled it out to tinker with it, the battery had swollen and no longer worked.

I also need to look into what memory stick alternatives there are? Mine is 4 GB but I wouldn't mind having a bigger one.

Been digging through a couple of boxes looking for something, and look what I've found!

I've bought this one ~10 years ago just to play Gravity Rush, although it came with a Minecraft, Rayman Origins and an Uncharted cartridges from it's prior owner.

What was your favourite #PSVita/#PSP game from back then? (as in, I want to play something fun. any suggestions?)
