These bills would be a disaster for the maker community and everything that has allowed it to vibrantly develop. Many 3D printers and their associated revolution in empowering people to make and repair things come from open source and open hardware projects which would presumably be outlawed, as would #Prusa3D products. This has echos of the Clipper Chip and other similar attempts.
