In the #novel, I center the #people who are already getting displaced from their homes because of the effects of #climatechange. The #protagonist, Alia, is from Iran, a #country that is so severely affected by chronic #drought that relocating the entire #city of Tehran to a better location is actively under consideration. For #women, especially, the despair from #scarcity of #water sits on top of the immense #oppression they have faced for decades.
