💯 I was quite pissed off when I read about that today.
Now listening to CBC Cross country checkup where the topic is Alberta Separation. I had to turn it off as I couldn't stand listening to the gross misinformation and slander from the "Oil drunk Alberta separatists".
It seems now apparent that this is the American strategy; Inject and support localized dissatisfaction and get a small group to believe they would be better off separating. Then once divided up the USA can easily take over.

✅ Reality: the photo does not show al-Sharaa at all. It is an Australian terrorist Muhammad Elomar, who fought for the Islamic State and was eliminated in 2015. The photo was taken back in 2014 and is spread by the Russian channel “rossiya 2.0a.”
