projeto Querino
continuing the reminder from #podcast #ProjetoQuerino on #BlackHistory:
There was no sector of the Brazilian economy that did not have slave labor. Did not have. From the merchant to the great landowner; from industrial to medical. It has always been black hands and minds that have enriched white families that still benefit from this wealth today. At the company Brasil, work is black and profit is white.
a friendly reminder from #podcast #ProjetoQuerino
No colony or country in the world received as many enslaved African people as Brazil. None. Of the 12.5 million African people uprooted from their homes, 5.5 million had Brazil as their destination. That's three times as much as entire Spanish America — of all our neighbors here in South America combined. It is 12 TIMES MORE THAN THE UNITED STATES.. Around 670,000 Africans died before arriving in Brazil, because conditions were inhumane.
