So the local Jewish community center (the only non-orthodox shul in the country), which is listed as progressive, requires the husband of a non-member woman to contact them to arrange use of the mikveh. A woman can’t contact them directly, presumably.
That doesn’t seem very progressive….
We’ve decided I *have* to go back to the orthopedic clinic tomorrow morning (first thing, before it opens to try to not have a 2-hour wait again) because the #sciatica is so painful and not improving at all.
So tomorrow morning will be interesting as I plan on attending an online #ProgressiveJudaism service from 6am, which will mean showering before that so I can go to the clinic immediately afterwards.
Suffice to say for the rest of #shabbat I will probably be asleep.
Oh my #Shabbat reading arrived from the UK today.
