@privacat - Here in the US I've had Federal agencies intentionally respond to Privacy Act demands as if their were more easily evaded Freedom of Information Act requests.

It's easy to do given that the PA is 5 USC 552a and FOIA is 5 USC 552 - they intentionally miss that little 'a'.
