I'm trying to convince @mbajur to revive his Prismo project from 2018, a federated hacker news/lobsters platform (perhaps even reddit) that was way before it's time.
Back in 2018, a new cohort of ActivityPub projects emerged, including @pixelfed, but Prismo was by far the best looking, cleanest user experience and easiest to install.
Help me convince him to revive this iconic project by replying to this post 🙏
The Threadiverse already has Lemmy & Kbin.
But I think many people aren't aware of Prismo.

Prismo is a link-sharing sharing and aggregation platform similar to Reddit, Lobste.rs, and Hacker News.
I.e., similar to both Lemmy & Kbin.
Its development started back in June 2018. But it isn't ready for production yet. It also looks like its development stalled back in May 2019.

Prismoは、はてなブックマークみたいなやつで、Lemmyに先駆けてActivityPub対応したFediverseサーバファミリーの一員なのですが、開発者が仕事を見つけて忙しくなってから開発が止まり、本家サーバもなくなってしまったので、ウチが唯一の生き残りサーバとなっています。

ブックマークレットをブックマークバーに突っ込んどいて、みているページをPrismoに放り込む使い方が便利なんですよね。
PeerTube、Pixelfed、Prismoとも、それぞれの投稿がMastodonでも投稿として見えて、リプライすると相手サーバでのコメントに反映されるなど、異なるシステム間で連合する様子は大変よく似ています。
コンテンツはそれぞれ専門サーバ、テキスト投稿でコミュニケーションをとったり、コンテンツを繋いでいくハブになる役割はMastodonが一番という感じの役割分担をすると便利です。
