I am still playing with carving eraser stamps! Here is my take on Jake the Dog from Adventure Time.

Ele Willoughby, PhDEver look at your scrap paper and think, oh that looks pretty… this is totally just a mask for my multicoloured portrait* and a piece of paper on which I was cleaning excess ink off brayers.
*I printed my key block in black of my astronomer portrait and then cut out the shape so I could flip it over and use it to mask out areas I don’t want to get orange ink on them.

Real Syntacticmade this at yesterday’s #risograph workshop at Fluoro Press, my first time working in this medium. Based on seeing these words spraypainted on a Paris roof in 2012. But 3 hours wasn’t enough to take full advantage of the 2-stencil, 2-colour process. I started with the line drawing, which I wanted to saturate in fluoro pink via the text-and-rainbow 2nd layer. The group was mostly experienced working in drawing and #printmaking, so the print swap at the end was awesome. Wish I could post it. #art
