Looks like no jurisdiction in Australia is safe from increases in electricity charges and tariffs. After SA, the renewable energy powerouse, lifted the cost of its electricity supply, Taswegians are next on the list of those paying more even as Aurora supply is a State Govt monopoly. Unfortunately, the article fails to account for the rise in electricity costs and leaves it up to the reader to find that out elsewhere — great Job #ABC… NOT. I’m not in TAS so I’ve not bothered.
Of note TAS Feed-in Tariffs look a real bounty compared to suppliers in other states where FIT keep getting lower each year:
“ Those with solar panels will receive a 5.6 per cent bump in their rate, though, with the feed-in tariff increasing to 9.276c/kWh. This increase follows average rises of 2 per cent last year, and a 0.5 per cent price rise for 2024-25.”
