#PreshTalwalkar is long overdue to revisit xyr sign-off screen on every #MindYourDecisions video.

Not making the finalist list for an award in 2017 falls somewhat flat as an achievement, made even worse by the fact that xe appears directly beneath Elon Musk.

It is fast approaching a decade. Surely something more noteworthy has happened since, what with Lockdown and all? Susanne Scherer has been to talk to the EU Parliament in that time and @standupmaths has calculated pi. Surely M. Talwalkar has not rested on those 2017 laurels?

As #PreshTalwalkar pointed out, it's not that it's not well defined. It is well defined, and M. Talwalkar gave the definition.

The problem is that ln over the complex numbers is not injective, but is rather one-to-many. So powers of complex numbers have multiple values, and ln does not cancel exp. Cancelling ln with exp when the domain is ℂ seems to be at the heart of many of these fallacious proofs.

Breaking the rules of math π = 0. Where is the mistake?

Xe had less of a tendency to shout in the ones from years ago. That's my main difficulty. It is the audio equivalent of too many exclamation marks.

"and! that's!! the answer!!1!"

I should turn subtitles on and see whether the videos are subtitled that way. (-:

I'm going to hold off on #PreshTalwalkar shouting at me, for a while. (-:

Recreational mathematicians will love the comments section of this one. One can skip #PreshTalwalkar shouting with no loss.

Commenters have pointed out that the seemingly excessive details in fact rule out some of the wilder suggestions in comments (e.g. taxicab metric/toroidal spacecraft/relativistic effects) and require a rainy planet.

But no-one has, as I write this, assumed hyperbolic geometry, or a incompletely-connected space.

@mau

Bellissimo questo quizzino 👍

Devo dire #PreshTalwalkar è una garanzia, thanks for sharing!

@mau

Simpatico!
