I have this odd issue with my laptop where whenever I play music using "traditional" apps like #Lollypop, #Pragha, #StrawberryPlayer, #Rythmbox, #QuodLibet or #Exaile, it pauses at random times for a few seconds, like if the music is buffering or something.

Interestingly, it doesn't happen with #mpd, #Monophony or through #Firefox. And it has happened with every distro I used with this laptop (#Fedora, #Debian, #EndeavourOS).

I suspect is related to #pipewire-pulse, but I'm not sure.

#Linux

@sn0n You mean Lollypop? Unless you want to wait hours for the sync to finish, no. Of course, if you never use MTP, then it's fine.

It is neat for *listening* and *discovering*, but its playlist features are awkward to use. In that regard, I find #Pragha more apt, but it doesn't have sync support, sadly.

Para los que no lo conocen, les recomiendo #Pragha. Un reproductor de música libre para GNU/Linux. Solo consume 7 MB. Tiene una interfaz más bonita que #Audacious y soporta extensiones, además se pueden agregar radios.
#Pragha on #Linux is such a nice minimalist audio player

@benjaminhollon I personally don't use music metadata, and tend to just have a very organized file hierarchy. #Pragha makes that workflow a breeze =)

I personally organize my music into Albums.

Another day, another app being reverted to #gtk. Qmmp won't read some opus files for some reason. So back to #pragha
