You were gifted with intellect and reason for a purpose; these are not like your appendix, things to be outgrown. They are not the only tools you have, of course, but they are indeed in your toolbox. Use them. Use them when your ego tries to tell you that it is all about you. Use them when you are presented with an idea that makes no sense. Use them when asked to believe the impossible. But use them also when presented with proof of the impossible.

When you find yourself struggling to stay in the moment, focus intently on your breathing. Feel the air coming into your lungs. Feel the energy of that breath spreading out through your body. Feel the air leaving your lungs, taking with it all of the things that no longer serve you. Breathe. Notice how, when you pay attention to your breath, you breathe more deeply; notice how, when you pay attention to your breath, you are energized.

The only valid comparison for your experience is your own experience. Anything else is a waste of your time and energy.

You are never going to be happy when you compare yourself to others. Why? Because you are comparing what you feel to what you see.

Growth requires hard work. Sometimes the hard work is done by our bodies. Sometimes the hard work is conscious and physical. Sometimes the hard work is emotional. Sometimes the hard work is mental. And sometimes the hard work is spiritual.

[Monday Message] Growth - Ayamanatara

Growth requires hard work. Our ability to do that work will vary from day to day. We put in the hard work because we made a commitment.

Create a list of attributes of someone you admire. How many of those attributes do you have yourself? How can you cultivate more of them? Make it your goal to become a person you can admire. Then you will be someone others can admire as well.

How do you respond to the opportunity to be of service? Do you welcome it? Or do you examine it to see how it will move you forward? The Universe moves those people forward who have made service their primary purpose.

Ask yourself today, “How can I be of maximum service?” Make it your mantra. Don’t stop to wonder how this is going to help you or benefit you. Just do it.  Blessings aren’t blessings if you seek them out.
