Let's kick of 2026 with some Apple appearances. "Accepted" has a classroom of eMacs, "Irresistible" has a background iMac G3, "The Tailor of Panama" has brief shots of a Clamshell iBook G3 and a Powerbook G3, and the "Married with Children" episode "Assault and Batteries" has a Macintosh Classic.

So, this is a Pismo #powerbookg3. It’s in about 2,198 (not really) pieces in this photo. I know the power jacks on these things to be flaky as they age, and I noticed that power was not consistent. So, I took the whole thing apart and checked the power jack… and soon discovered it was the POWER CORD that was the problem. 😮‍💨

Moral of the story, check your power cords first. #computer #computerrepair #oldcomputer #oldmac #powerpc #powerpcmac #vintageapple #retroapple #retro #retrocomputing

Here's a collection of films that include Apple Powerbooks. The "Don's Analyst" has a 5300 and "Hitman's Run" has a 520c (and an incidental Commodore PET 2001 keyboard in a prop that has appeared in a number of places). Finally, "The Omega Code" and "Town & Country" both have Powerbook G3s.

Computers in movies and television shows

I'm the proud owner of a #PowerBookG3 #M7572 #Pismo since yesterday. Was the last series of it. Only with 400MHz, but with 1GB RAM and a "fat" 40GB hard drive. At the moment the maintenance work such as charging the clock battery and renewing the cpu thermal paste.
