Dry fitting new fender flares. These give 1” of additional coverage. Hope to fit this weekend. #PowerWagon #FenderFlare
The side incline that kept on giving. :) I posted a still from this earlier, but I’ve cropped out a few seconds from the POV video of “first dirt” at Owyhee and this gate keeper of sorts. Had to catch my breath there!

Somebody asked me, “sway bars disconnected?” And gosh darn it, no. Next time!

Screen cap from the side incline that kept on giving. This was basically “first dirt” on the Owyhee Canyonlands trip. We went on to do 600+ miles of dirt after this, which tells you how this works out, but I thought I’d share.

Big trip to Owyhee Canyonlands in OR coming up and I’m just tying up loose ends on the power situation with the camper & truck. #PowerWagon #OVRLNDCampers #Bluetti #BougeRV #TruckCamper #Overland

Well I learned something. Had one of those magnetic tool pads on my truck for a couple days. It left a faded patch when I removed it. Googled it. It’s a thing.

I am trying the “heat the paint in the sun” approach.

Adding a few improvements to the truck. I saw these aluminum bases for NATO 5G water jerry cans on eBay, and they fit the Scepter 5G water cans great. I have a couple of these to mount to the plywood floor I put in the camper, among the Milwaukee Packouts. These bases have a rubberized surface which keeps the can nice and snug (good for metal cans too I would think). The big (apparently, for me) project I’ve been working on is a DC-DC charger. I think when that is complete it’s probably time for a rig walk around, which has been several years coming! :)

Amazing day at Joaquin Ridge in Clear Creek today! Some snapshots. Full video captured in 360 from Coalinga Road to the terminus of Joaquin Ridge Road, 25 miles of dirt each way, 50 miles total. I need to get editing some video!

Oh there was a little snow up there.
