BigBlueButton (BBB) ist eine Open-Source-Lösung für Videokonferenzen, die insbesondere seit der Pandemie weltweit sehr großen Zuspruch findet. Um die spezifischen Bedarfe der Hochschulen geschlossen angehen zu können, wurden mittels Crowdfunding Kapazitäten bei Blindside Networks geschaffen. Durch die Förderung seitens der Hochschulen konnte BBB in wesentlichen Punkten hinsichtlich der Anforderungen der Hochschulen weiterentwickelt werden. Dieser Bericht ergänzt den Bericht zur Entwicklung der BBB-Community aus dem Jahr 2022. Stand Januar 2023 fördern 23 Hochschulen die weitere Entwicklung von BigBlueButton.
