All there is left is "enshittification". Now, as the old trade system collapses, we could try to pick the locks and reclaim the internet.
Cory Doctorow talks about this in his speech "A post-American, enshittification-resistant internet" at 39C3 (39th Chaos Communication Congress).
I strongly suggest everyone to watch it, as he so masterfully lays everything on the ground for us to pick up.
