We had the same sitter come in yesterday to our little group and it was pretty nice. With the painting I didn’t look for a composition or anything, but concentrated on smooth transitions only, trying to paint softly from the onset. I think I need to have a better sort of think in the future but the technique needs to be more established before that. So I learnt a lot even if the painting itself is meh.

Headhunting again this evening. Had a great time with a lovely sitter. I tried to make better eyes this time, I fear my edges were to sharp with the last few portraits I made. Unfortunately, I think the eyes came out terrible again, but I like the overall shape design and value relationships.
