For those in the PacNW, specifically in and around the #Portland #Oregon metro area, the Multnomah Athletic Club, bka, the MAC, was significantly damaged when a former employee drove his car full of explosive material into the front entrance earlier on Saturday morning. The MAC is adjacent to Providence Park where the #PortlandTimbers and #PortlandThorns play their home soccer matches.

One person has died.

A spokesperson for the private club described the damage to its building as “significant but contained.” There’s no indication at this early point in the investigation that the incident is linked to terrorism.
