Stored cold so thought I’d waited too long on this one. But #LetItWarm and there is all the zippy cinnamon and spicy chili you were waiting for, a hint of sweet and a satisfying lasting slow burn finish.
If I’m going to drink a golden ale I’m going to find something flavorful. This #portageBrewing Coffecake Blonde Ale fits the bill.
Coffee, vanilla, and cinnamon - my kind of blonde. Complex sweet and malty with a little bite on the finish.

Left open (recapped) 5 days, flattened out all the flavors but really amped up the spicy chili finish 🌶️
Temps tomorrow morning expected to be -13F. It’s 7F now but wind chills are in the -16F range!

A medium body lager with coffee, vanilla, and a cinnamon finish. Not as warming as the dedicated warmer, but very nice.

Family Recipe pastry stout! A light stout flavorful with chocolate, a hint of bitter and a sweet lasting cookie finish.
I love a lot of Pastry #stout so it’s a second shot at #PortageBrewing Into the Night.
Too medium-bodied to rate a “pastry” label in my book, it’s roasty chocolate, a hint of vanilla, and a slight bitter finish. Just doesn’t have the oomph I’m used to.

Day two of being Mad at Midnight, and I think I’m more mad at myself for not buying MORE of the marvelous molé #stout!
#portageBrewing did this barrel-aged pastry stout right. The overnight open bottle amped up the chili & cinnamon and rounded out the chocolate, really an awesome stout.
Luckily Dabbler Depot shows at least one more bottle in stock…gotta find a way to get back there!
