50 years since the Miami Showband massacre, one of many dark episodes in the history of Northern Ireland and these islands generally. Commemorations of the terrible event are taking place across the country, but to solidify its reputation as a crazy town Portadown will be commemorating one of the Miami's killers. I know Republicans are no strangers to commemorating people who have done terrible things, but this seems particularly egregious.
