Victims in deadly Port Arthur LNG scaffolding collapse file lawsuit against companies

Three workers died and two others were seriously injured in the scaffolding collapse early Tuesday in Jefferson County. One of the injured workers, and surviving relatives of two of the men who died, are seeking more than $1 million in damages in a lawsuit filed in Harris County.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit ruled this week that the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality did not impose stringent-enough emissions standards for a planned liquified natural gas production facility in southeast Texas.
