On #ThisDayInHistory in 1095 at Clermont, #PopeUrbanII issued a call to #Crusade. He said people of all ranks should march for the #HolyLand to rid it of the "vile race" (i.e., #Muslims) who had taken lands from "friends" (i.e., #OrthodoxChristians, who were not their friends..).
