The inspiration for writing BEER POUR came from my days in Hollywood. I once worked with a psychopathic commercial director, and then right after, worked with a very gentile man of Japanese descent. They were both at the top of their game, directing TV commercials. Polar opposites achieving the same goal in the same field was interesting to me. Where else does that happen: Politics. I made filmmaking and politics collide for one nutty week in Hollywood, in my novel BEER POUR, when the U.S. Vice President enlists the help of two bitter rivals, the psychopathic director and the gentleman, to aid in high-stakes international diplomacy.
