It is not that unusual for a protest song to name a president, it is a bit unusual (lately) that a protest song that names the president gets a lot of media attention.

Here are 45 songs about Trump (most directly about him, some tangentially about him).

There are 45 because this was compiled when he was 45th president.

What excuses would you tell yourself
If this ever happened to you?
Well I live in a city of heroes
I know what I would do

When they came for the immigrants
I got in their face
When they came for the refugees
I got in their face
When they came for the five-year-olds
I got in their face
When they came to my neighbourhood
I just got in their face

They use tear gas and pepper spray
Against our whistles and our phones
But in this city of heroes
We will protect our home

Best part is when the author writes about "scant few artists engaging in protest music" and the "observable dearth of protest songs" and then goes on to list several well know names and recent songs.

I understand that the "mainstream" media doesn't care about the constant stream of protest music out there. But all you need to do is take a look. These artists would greatly appreciate a little attention.

Here are several places that are regularly sharing it and my Bandcamp collection and Youtube playlist of good songs.

The Magic Clap
by #TheCoup

It's like a hotwire, baby, when we put it together
When the sparks fly, we'll ignite the future forever
This is the last kiss Martin ever gave to Coretta
It's like a paparazzi picture when I flash my Beretta
I got scars on my back, the truth on my tongue
I had the money in my hand when that alarm got rung
We wanna breathe fire and freedom from our lungs
Tell Homeland Security we are the bomb
