More evidence that giving cops more money for traffic law enforcement doesn't make streets safer, from the perspective of habitual speeders.
1. cops tend to go for easy targets who are not actively endangering anyone and can be quickly pulled over, ticketed, and released. (bcuz lazy or have a quota)
2. they patrol the same few places all the time (so people who want to speed can just avoid those places)
3. Cops have a lot of leeway in who they ticket and who they let go with a warning, so you can talk them out of it by appealing to their bias or sucking up to them, among other strategies.
