In England ist gestern das neue Polizeigesetz beschlossen worden, welches neben einem Frontalangriff auf das Demonstrationsrecht, auch antiziganistische Angriffe auf die Lebensweise von Gypsy Roma und Traveller Communities in England enthält. #killthebill #PoliceCrackdownBill 1/3 https://twitter.com/thatbloodyMikey/status/1412164011823702020

The #PoliceCrackdownBill will decimate protest rights, entrench digital strip searches, extend racist surveillance, and much more. It’s full of extreme, anti-democratic powers.
It now goes to the House of Lords. We’ll keep fighting against these excessive powers.

Hugely anti-democratic #PoliceCrackdownBill just passed 365 votes to 265. Peaceful protest is a fundamental right in our democracy but now criminalised – I voted against this Bill because it’s an attack on civil liberties & major extension of state power that is threat to us all
📣Our democracy is nothing without the right to protest. The #PoliceCrackdownBill poses a direct threat to that right!
With the Bill back in the Commons today, we urge MPs to remove the protest section from the Bill entirely.
Read our briefing here⤵️
⚠️ NEW: MPs scrutinising the #PoliceCrackdownBill have *failed* to change the legislation to safeguard protest rights.
The Bill could lead to protests being restricted just for being noisy! 🗣
We’re absolutely clear, the right to protest must be protected. ✊

BREAKING: We’ve delayed the #PoliceCrackdownBill - the government is no longer rushing it through Parliament. This is a victory, but we will not stop until we #KillThisBill. This will only happen if we escalate the resistance and build a mass movement. 💥https://www.sistersuncut.org/2021/03/18/breaking-sisters-uncut-declare-victory-at-halting-police-powers-bill-in-parliament/
