#GoodMorningWorlds
We are off to the community workshop this morning, last visit of the year.

We'll be having a little celebration, and I will be putting an overflow pipe onto the IBC container.

This afternoon we will pick up prescription meds, and try to get to the Trafford Centre to buy calendars and diaries from WH Smiths.

#PoleLathe

Really good to get back in my workshop for a couple of hours this afternoon. It has been way too long!

The chisels arrived. Not overly sharp, should I sharpen them first? It’s for turning on a pole lathe.

Started turning this plum wood bowl but the core snapped due to an imperfection. I’ll finish it by hand later. Plum wood has great colour but rarely grows straight and is full of imperfections. #plumwood #TheLegionary #bowlturning #polelathe #woodturner #vikinglathe #tourneursurbois #greenwoodworking
Turning some walnut I rescued from a burn pile. Made a small uneven bowl ideal for beverages or olives. #polelathe #woodturning #woodenbowl #tourneursurbois #tourabois #thelegionary #StSulpiceDEymet

I should have put #polelathe #greenwoodworking in that toot. Are there green woodworkers active on Mastodon? Please boost, so I can find them!

This is my daughter, our first tryout of the first pole lathe I ever made. This is so much fun!
