Doors open at 19:00
Program starts 19:30.
About the book:
What happens when sex workers are in charge of their own image, labor laws, work places, and community spaces?
Sex work everywhere is facing erasure from public life. In Amsterdam’s Red Light District, the combined forces of gentrification, repression, hetero-cis sexism, and stigma are threatening its future. But sex workers have risen up, reclaiming the unconstrained genius and militancy of whores as the key to social transformation.
This book brings together the voices of sex workers, queer and trans cultural workers, and Amsterdam’s squatting movement, to offer a radical vision of whoring liberated. Whoring Art: A Red Light Anthology is an abundant reimagination of sex work in the city.
With a kinky vinyl cover, and containing over 30 contributions and dozens of pictures, the book is edited by Mercy St. J, Adanya Dunn and Anna Torres – the former HXSSY collective – and published by Spookstad. Part of the proceeds will go to sex work related projects in Amsterdam and abroad!

Blumineck on impossible stunts.

Yay, got discharged from my physio clinic! One more month of bodyweight exercises and I should be able to get back to pole classes soon after 🎉
Just adding that a big factor in my enjoyment of pole-dancing is the people at the studio I'm attending. It's a very inclusive and non-judgemental place. I've never heard any criticism or hatred from anyone there. If someone is struggling with moves on the pole, instructors only give helpful advice and encouragement.
The studio owner is also very supportive of queer people. She and others from the studio often perform at events which also feature various LGBTQ+ people (most noticeably drag performers) and, a few weeks ago, she cancelled Saturday classes at short notice to represent the studio in the Hobart pride march, forgoing some income to do so.
Meant to post this a few days ago...
I recently did my second-ever pole-dancing performance, about 8 months after I started attending classes. The video's below; I'm on the front-right pole.
I'm still rather self-conscious and critical of myself, but I really enjoy pole-dancing and can see that I've improved over time, so will definitely keep going with it.

I had a great time at the #WICMP #WICMP11 over the weekend. The #poledancing workshop went by so quickly. I even had to come up with additional beginner tricks for the participants to try as they kept doing things on their first or second attempt. ☺️
On the next day we switched to freestyle pole while the DJ was doing their thing. No wotkshop this time as it was way too loud. Totally forgot to take some photos of myself (like most of the time).
