State aid for #Polands future #nuclear plant in Lubiatowo-Kopalino has been greenlit by EU.
The polish state intends to pay 14.2 billion € (30%) directly, and guarantees the remainder of the projected 45.4 billion € total cost.
Despite this, the state guaranteed price seems to be a whooping 118 €/MWh for 40 years.

(For comparison: onshore wind power in Germany gets tendered at less than 70 €/MWh for 20 years)
The plant isn't planned to be finished before 2036.
