I started playing Pokemon Champions. I haven't been rushing to collect any Pokemon since I don't know which ones I want to use. I like Steelix and Armarogue.
Borrowing a pokemon on trial is neat, but you can't changes the moves so it's hard to say how it'll perform in battle. No, Pikachu probably shouldn't have four electric moves.
I'm in Great Ball tier (Singles) and if I start encountering meta teams only I'll probably stop playing. I have no intention of getting deep into competitive battling. I feel like there's not much here for a casual player. Most discussion I've seen centers around minmaxing teams for ranking up. I'm not telling anyone how to play and I hope the serious contenders rank up quickly to play with each other.
Free to play experience feels fine (as it always does early on). We'll see if the box limit is tolerable.
