Just rolled credits on #PokemonBlue.
It's taken me thirty years but I've finally beaten it, and I didn't have to save-scum once.
Special thanks to my Dugtrio who essentially one-shotted three of my rivals Pokémon without taking a hit. What a lad!.
I'm not one for actual catching all the Pokémon, so that'll be my time with the game at and end. I enjoyed it, warts and all.
My tactic when it comes to the elite four is simply. Imma grind these bastards until I my under-levelled Pokémon are no longer under-levelled.
Stocking up on healing items but I don't intend on using them until I'm absolutely sure I can brute force my way through.
Right now the largest sticking points are that fucking Lapras and the multiple Gengars. Fuck that guy.
I *think* my Gyrados might be a little OP.
I'm working my way up the Pokémon tower and he just no-hit through Peter's entire roster of Pokémon. Man didn't get hit once.
So I've decided to go back to #PokemonBlue for the first time in nearly 30 years. I got to the elite four as a kid, but could never get past them. As such, I've got some unfinished business with this game.
Thought about playing #LeafGreen instead but I think I *need* to beat this specific version of this game to get it off my back you know?
Anyway. I asked the eldest which starter I should go with and she didn't let me down.
