Started strong, ended strange. Sophie Hannah’s The Last Death of the Year promises Poirot brilliance on a Greek island but delivers more confusion than clarity. Still, Rhind-Tutt’s narration kept me listening! #Poirot #Mystery #BookReview #ViewsSheWrites

A sharp Hercule Poirot setup on a Greek island promises chills, but the overcrowded cast and baffling ending left me cold. Solid narration by Julian Rhind-Tutt saves the 9-hour audiobook. Decent for mystery fans, but not a classic. ⭐⭐⭐ #PoirotMysteryReview

Not a single #Whovian replied to this. Thanks. Adding insult to injury, my post-pod #Poirot was ruined when I saw 1930s thief with Mini #Maglite. I mean, come on, #ITV. Oh, my god, maybe he's the Doctor! And no, I don't want to talk about Poirot, I want to talk about #DoctorWho.
Watching the David Suchet Poirot series, and I live for the female-heavy episodes because once you put more than two white British dudes together, I lose the ability to distinguish them. The men don't even have to all be blond.
I do, however, note that they reuse the same white Art Deco mansion as the rich asshole house in several episodes across the seasons. Maybe there's only one such mansion left. 😔
