#Podophyllum peltatum, Maypops, Mayapples. Last year at our neighbourhood gardening garage sale I bought a piece of this with ONE leaf ... this yeah I'm seeing so far 11 coming up! To my surprise it seems the flower buds emerge first, I don't think I'd ever looked closely at them at this stage before despite having grown up with them.
