One thing about Akkoma that can cause you problems when hosting it is —

It stores media in the databases.

Including caching the profile images and profile headers from random people on the Fediverse.

This can cause your storage-drive to fill up.

I've seen 40% or more of the storage-drive taken up by this caching.

#PleromaAdmin Tips:
un po' di tempo fa avevo messo tutte le istanze da più di 100k utenti come nascoste nella timeline federata della mia, convinto che mi aiutasse un po' a mantenere sotto controllo il peso del database. Ovviamente non è servito ad una fava.
Quel che invece che avrei dovuto fare è impostare un limite temporale per i messaggi remoti salvati - io ho messo 40 giorni - e poi settimanalmente fare un purge manuale.

Does anyone know if posts from Pleroma/Akkoma can be embedded?

This closed issue from three years ago suggests this should be possible, but I can't seem to get this to work. Unless this is not typically enabled on instances?

An anti-canceldon from that host, just reblogged everything I wrote in a conversation thread I had with them - which I assume is intended to get me dogpiled. and they probably run the instance too.

also they have the datum "Sex"="Male" in their bio which I must assume means they want he/him pronouns but fuck them, if they're a gender bigot their pronouns probably don't deserve to be respected
