Sea blush (Plectritis congests) is in bud and starting to show color across the front yard meadow.

The one below is bigger and happier than most, but they are all at about the same stage.

The front yard #meadow ( #BeeLawn ) is beginning to color up.

The first photo is from April 9. Very few of the Sea Blush (Plectritis congesta) were showing pink.

The second and the rest are from today.

The area next to the sidewalk, where the city put some really nice soil last summer, still looks great: the baby blue eyes #Nemophila and the sea blush #Plectritis has been joined by white meadowfoam.

Last weeks heat knocked off the Nemophila and Plectritis in the rest of the lawn. I'm guessing the soil in rest of the lawn is fairly compacted, so the root systems couldn't deal with the heat. I'm not optimistic about the plants reseeding in those areas.

The neighbor's crabapple tree is in full bloom. It's looks good with the front yard #meadow ( #beelawn ).

Honey bees are going back and forth between the crabapple blooms and the pink seablush (Plectritis congesta). A different bee visits the baby blue-eyes (Nemophila menziesii). If anyone can identify it, I'd bee grateful.

Seablush (Plectritis congesta) is putting out lot of pink blooms in the front #BeeLawn. It looks great with the baby blue-eyes (Nemophila menziesii). I think the mini lupine (Lupinus bicolor) will be the next to show color.
