This episode of Recovering Queen was such a delight to listen to. They’re covering the wonderful Bicycle Race, a definite 10/10 Queen song. I love their banter about the song itself and the cover at the end was fantastic!

It's been a tough day #today with all sorts of health shit and being stressed and sad about that. But I played the piano for a bit and found an arrangement of Teo Torriatte that I really like and is very simple. The arranger didn't notate the short bars as short, though, so the bar lines are in the wrong place for most of it! 😆

I love Brian's cat guitar sounds, and the video is lovely.
Then there's the original Party and Khashoggi's Ship. I love the urgent feel and how they run into each other. The session versions are good too, but the originals are best.

My submission is Scandal, from their much-maligned 13th studio album, The Miracle: https://youtu.be/VMO3YNoNyTY It's not the best album, by a long way, and it definitely introduces a different sound to the band (partly due to having dispensed once and for all with the "no synths" rule) but I've never thought it's as bad as many hardcore fans make out. #music #guitar #UnderratedQueenSongs *other than, perhaps, an (off-platform) assertion that you can't post about anything other than your instance's primary theme on Mastodon

Agree the new incarnation of QueenPod isn't as good - less like fans chatting obsessively together and more like a 'normal' show, but understandable why it's changed, and I'm still happy to have it back. I love Ro, he's smashing.
Not listened to the Miracle boxset ep yet, looking forward to it.
