Trees are dying in Greece (and elsewhere), but not just to wildfires - to drought, which brings on plant stress, which makes them more susceptible to insect pests and diseases.

Questions: What is eating the leaves? How do I help the plant without using pesticides? I've tried a soap solution, but if it did work it was short lived or just washed off by the rains.

I'm pretty laid back when it comes to plant pests, leaving it to nature to deal with, but the box moth caterpillars are testing my resolve. With 3 generations a year, even the local bluetits are overwhelmed. An invasive species, with no natural predators, and managing to overwinter, this is a prime example of how fragile our plant ecosystems are.
