För nästan sex år sedan sydde jag den här kjorteln. Det känns som en evighet sedan. Växtfärgad med krapp och valnöt, och sedan handsydd. Någon dag ska det bli knappar hela vägen ned framtill, och ett krusdok att ha till.

ENG: Almost six years ago I sewed this kirtle. It feels like ages ago! It is plant dyed with madder and walenut and completely hand sewn. Some day I will make more buttons in the front, and a frilled veil to wear with it. Some day.

This piece is the culmination of a 6-month journey, creating a color palette influenced by the plants I eat, suburban flowers I encounter on my way to the studio, and experimenting with food scraps as dyes. I think Eve is a genius. Does mad things like collecting bags of leaves from the gardens at Eggleston Hall and then does this with them.
