#PlannedObsolescence
A great documentary. Things deliberately designed to fail early to support #Capitalism and maximize profits.

Communities on Reddit and elsewhere are crowdsourcing reviews and recommendations in an effort to find the “best” version of, well, everything. It’s partly an ode to items that have withstood the test of time, and partly a quest for durability, longevity and #repairability – all in an effort to save money, and the environment.

It's amazing how big multi-billion dollar corporations can hide behind environmental concerns.
Apple decided not to include a power adapter in the iPhone box a few years ago.
It's only 58 grams of plastic with some metal. Sounds reasonable, yeah?
Also Apple:
Want to add RAM to your Macbook?
- No, buy a new 2kg one.
Want to upgrade your SSD?
- Ok, buy a new 2kg one.
Want to use your old iMac as a monitor for your Mac Mini?
- Sure, buy a new 10kg one. Or a separate display. Or just throw your iMac away.
What is it if not taking care of the money?
It's so ridiculous to bring ecology here.

My laptop broke...cannot charge anymore and I cannot fix it.
Long story short I spent so many hours trying to fix it, and I decided it is cheaper and better to buy a used and cheap Thinkpad...
I have made a Gofundme in case anyone can help out gofund.me/b8bc330a
I have to run a lot of projects and this laptop is really important for me. Without it I am fucked.
Planned Obsolescence, this is what is happening with so many products. Not meant to last or be repaired...really awful....
But I have no choice need to urgently get another laptop...
