Debido a diversos obstáculos, he cambiado de opinión y estoy en proceso de portar mi fiel Pixel 3a a Halium 12. No solo estoy trabajando para conseguir una partición del sistema de mayor tamaño, sino que también ayudaré a la gente a habilitar VoLTE, algo que no puedo probar con mi operador. Esto es solo un proyecto paralelo, pero si queréis votar para que le dé mayor prioridad, aceptaré encantado donaciones para saber que *de verdad* lo queréis. Más enlaces en https://fredl.me Por cierto, aparte de la conexión SSH a mi servidor de compilación, estoy haciendo todo esto desde mi Fairphone 5 conectado al NexDock, incluyendo el flasheo y la depuración del Pixel 3a. ¿Por qué Halium 12? Android 12 fue la última versión compatible con Google e incluía una mejora en la itinerancia específica para VoLTE. Básicamente, apuesto a que habrá más posibilidades de que se admita VoLTE. Además, permite una partición del sistema de tamaño variable, lo que supera los límites de almacenamiento de la actual adaptación de Halium 9. Por supuesto, será un largo camino, ya que han cambiado muchas cosas entre H9 y H12, y hay mucho que trasladar en cuanto a características y mejoras de H9. Actualización: ¡Esta noche hemos realizado nuestra primera llamada con éxito a través de VoLTE! Todavía hay algunos detalles por pulir y no todas las situaciones (llamadas entrantes frente a salientes, fallos en la interfaz de usuario) funcionan como querríamos, pero es un gran comienzo, mucho más avanzado de lo que llegó a estar la adaptación de Halium 9 en cuanto a compatibilidad con VoLTE. If you want to use the device to make phone calls, than #pixel3a. If you just want to try out and play with #postmarketOS, I would recommend #oneplus6 or #oneplus6t

Took the car for a longer drive today and figured it was the perfect chance to test navigation on my #linuxphone . Тhe road is really winding, so it's easy to see if the position tracking is accurate. I wasn’t expecting much since, when I’m stationary, all apps seem to drift by about 100 meters. To my surprise #PureMaps was just as precise as OsmAnd on Android, which I kept running side-by-side for comparison.
So, on #pixel3a with #postmarketos GPS works perfectly when you’re on the move.

My #pixel3a seems to have gotten worse at multitasking. I can't have both #jellyfin and #newpipe open at once for example. One of them gets unloaded from memory/closed. So there's a wait when switching back as the app loads again.

I don't remember this behaviour. Even multitasking with 1 or 2 heavy web pages was OK. Recently I've had the browser close while opening a password manager.

Wonder if its the OS that has changed, or apps becoming RAM greedy
