A photo I took in Luxor when I was 25- and turned 26 when I reached Cairo. It was my first solo backpacking trip, more than a decade ago. Honestly it doesn't feel so far back, but at the same time so much has changed already as to how we travel now.

They let us pick apples for free! And we ate them straight away- so fresh and clean and natural we didn't need to wash them. :)

Yet I could have just stayed there and remain young forever. ๐Ÿ™‚

Of course, I'm referencing to that old James Hilton novel "The Lost Horizon". (You can download for free and read it on your Kindle. I recommend it.) Some people say Hunza is the original "Shangri-La", the inspiration for the book- the secret paradise on earth where people live hundreds of years and remain strong and healthy. I will not dispute that. It's a totally different reality, it's like you're in a trance all the time. It's "unreal".
