NOOT, NOOT!
On 28 May 1986, the first episode, 'Pingu: A Story for Preschool Children" of the later same named Swiss stop-motion claymation children's show was produced.
Still voiced by creator Otmar Gutmann himself, Pingu's now iconic "noot-noot" sound was made by a kazoo for the pilot, that would be first shown at the Berlinale 1987, winning the Kleiner BΓ€r award.
Over the following decades, 'Pingu' would be broadcast in more than 150 countries around the world.
