Awesome! #PineVox is the product I'm really interested in, although I'm stoked to hear more about the #PineCam, too. Hopefully it does well and you release an upgraded 12mp camera version, even if it's twice the price. Either way, easy #HomeAssistant integration would really make this blow up.

I know the hardware was old, but it was cheap and I feel like most people's major gripes were more related to lack of software support.

I really wish they'd just added an extra $20-$30 to the price of the phones and thrown all of that money towards funding capable volunteers (like Megi) to fix pain points in the stack where possible.

Hopefully they'll learn for future projects like the #PineVox.

Hey @PINE64, is the #PineVox still on your roadmap? I was thrilled to see it announced, but I don't see anything new in the last almost 6 months. There's not even an entry for it on your Wiki.

@PINE64

How will you be co-operating with the @homeassistant community to ensure tight integration with the #PineVox?

There's a big potential userbase there, but they're likely to work on the integration in home assistant more than the OS and hardware enablement of the actual device.

If they have to wait for drivers to be developed and mainlined before it can be used with HomeAssistant, you could lose most of your momentum with this.

If done correctly, I may get a few #Pine64 #PineVox devices, even though my smart home is non-existant right now.
