#PineMedia finally got me pretty much sorted and now using my own hardware. I threatened to leave - during the 8 days without working internet and 3 separate engineer visits that it took - but they told me it would cost £660 to terminate my contract. Ouch.

It's been okay. But now performance is back to dogshit, with a status page that suggests problems across #Sheffield. yay.

An hour spent with #PineMedia tech support getting me to swap all my devices round to try and fix a problem that exists with their network. Now no reply for 30 minutes… maybe they've gone to the pub?

30+ hours offline.

So I left #ZenInternet after 8 pretty good years of service. Joined a local #Sheffield ISP: #PineMedia. Save £100+ a yr & get 2x the speed. Figured I'd just change the PPPoE user/pass, 15min downtime.

Result: I've been without internet access for 8hrs and tech support not replied for 3hrs #UK

Pretty tough for a web developer.
