What did I do this weekend - besides just existing? I wove a wreath (from hazel and knotweed) and taught my child the technique. I carved for the first time in two years (my fingers! Argh!): Mushroom 1 (No. It's not what YOU think!) and 2. And I tried to draw a Pallas cat and created some kind of... Gremlin-bat-cat?

The old days III

Even though I am not rummaging through shoe boxes that have been sitting under the bed for years, but just digital photo folders, it does feel a bit nostalgic at times. Here’s another piece from the old days when I used to roam the woods with Jan Philip Scheibe just to make art. This work is part of a series where inflatable plastic objects representing nature were staged in the landscape. The series began in 2006 and marked the start of my artistic exploration of our relationship with plastic.
