Flew up to KATW to see Mom for her birthday last night. Was such a wonderful flight.

Flight back was totally smooth in the dark. Did not have to touch the airplane for over 10 min and that was just a minor adjustment.

Wasn't planned but to my surprise I was asked to conduct a familiarisation flight on the BR23 915 IFR. I guess it's real name is even longer. And so are the checklists which make every A320 look pale...
Holy moly.
Bottom line it is nothing but a microlight.
A microlight with the avionics of a business jet. Really.

Today during a club member’s flight review (First person doing what I am now calling Sam’s Comprehensive Flight Review) I passed 1000 hours total time.

Really happy. This came later than I wanted but still so happy.

After the flight over the Alps, recently, it was time for a "mountain light" flight. Had a look over the #Blackforest and a nice visit of the town of #Freiburg before returning back to the lake.
Yes, it was #glider weather, again. Tell you what: these canopy flash lights they often have are a thing. Honestly. Really cool!

So since some have asked. Here is what I have been working on for a Comprehensive Flight Review. The target for this is club/lower yearly time GA pilots.

The idea would be to talk to the pilot ahead of time and fine tune but this gives them a starting point on what we would cover. (link to PDF)
