melodywisp: stenography post 18

so, i did a teeny tiny bit of practicing yesterday. i did my Anki, which is usually a given. it has the lowest barrier of entry: i can do it while in bed. but this time, i did it at my desk.[READ-MORE]i had 118 terms to review/study! 20 were new, 98 were up for review. it took me 30!!!! minutes to get through it. i was so shocked at how much time elapsed between me posting on Bluesky that I was doing my Anki and when i finally finished studying. 30 is SO much time lolafter that, i did the dictation drill and literary and jury charge. there was a Latin and French portion, and i was stoked. its so challenging and makes my brain go wrrr. i also learn new terms, which is always a blast.the terms were: lexi loci: HREBGS/HROES/AOEU nudum pactum: TPHAOU/TKUPL/PABGT/-PL supersedeas: SPR-/SAOED/KWR-S stet: STET at least i think thats how id write them in steno lol not so sure about nudum pactum or supersedeas. i just plucked them out of my dictionary, and while i know how to write them, i dont necessarily know how to write them, y'know?anyway, the rest of the LitJC was actually rly annoying to write to. an article on millennials being rewarded too much for nothing (yeah, sure, 🙄) and some obnoxious prose about things the author thought made no sense.if you listened to it, i think you'd be annoyed, too. im glad writing to things doesnt necessarily keep them in my brain for very long.today i also did my Anki. didnt note down what i got stuck on, tho. but it was quite a few. the deck didnt sync correctly, so when i finished my review, i hit the sync button, and some more terms were up for review.[/READ-MORE]i am laying in bed currently. dont have the energy or motivation to get back up and go practice, probably because itll take me like 3 hours, and its already 11 PM for me. i stopped streaming at 7:30 PM today -- so i was on time, but as soon as i got in bed, all motivation left my body. oopsHopefully I'll have the energy to do that 3 hours of practice tomorrow!thanks for readiiiiing 💕
